every single product before it goes anywhere near this website.
That's not a marketing line. It's just how this business works.
The Test Team
Every product at Rover's Kit gets put through its paces before it earns a place on the shelves. My two dogs run the testing operation:
Julie — our rescue dog and resident destruction specialist. If a toy, collar, or lead can survive Julie, it can survive most things. She is thorough, committed, and has no patience for anything that isn't genuinely well made.
Keith — our snuggler. Where Julie tests durability, Keith tests comfort. If he won't wear it or won't engage with it, it doesn't make the cut.
Between them, they've saved a lot of customers from a lot of disappointing purchases.
The Brands We Stock
We don't try to stock everything. We stock the best.
Our range focuses on a small number of premium brands — West Paw, Lupine Pet, Hugsmart, Max & Molly Urban Pets and Fluff & Tuff — chosen for their manufacturing standards, safety records, and the fact that they hold up in real homes with real dogs. I source directly, maintain close relationships with every brand we carry, and hold exclusive UK import rights for some of our range.
Every year we attend Crufts and I travel to trade shows internationally to meet new brands and evaluate whether they meet the standard. Most don't make it. The ones that do go through the test team before they go live.
If it's on this site, I'd buy it myself. That's the only standard that matters to me.
How We Work
Rover's Kit isn't a massive corporate company — and intentionally so. I mostly handle everything (with help!) from product sourcing, quality testing, orders, customer service, and content. That means when you get in touch, you're talking to a person who actually chose every product on the site.
We ship with fast despatch from our UK warehouse. All orders come with a 30-day returns and exchange policy — because even with the best sizing guides in the world, sometimes things just aren't quite right, and I'd rather sort it than leave you stuck.
