How to measure for Collars

"How to Measure Your Dog for the Perfect Collar Fit"
What You'll Need:
  • Soft measuring tape (or string + ruler)
  • Your dog (calm and standing)
  • Treats for cooperation!
Step 1: Find the Right Spot Locate where your dog's collar naturally sits—at the base of the neck, just above the shoulders. This is typically the widest part of the neck.
Step 2: Measure the Circumference Wrap the measuring tape around your dog's neck at this point. The tape should be snug but comfortable—you should be able to fit two fingers between the tape and your dog's neck.
Step 3: Add Comfort Room Take your measurement and add 5cm (2 inches) for comfort. This is your collar size.
Example:
  • Measured neck: 35cm
  • Add 5cm = 40cm
  • Order size: Medium (38-48cm range)
Step 4: Check the Fit Chart Match your measurement to our size chart. If you're between sizes, always size up for comfort.
Special Considerations:
  • Puppies: Measure weekly as they grow rapidly; consider adjustable collars
  • Thick-coated breeds: (Huskies, Collies, Newfoundlands) Add an extra 2-3cm
  • Greyhounds/Whippets: Need wider collars despite slim necks to prevent injury
